Why participate in an exchange program?
You have been selected for an exchange program at the University of French Polynesia (UPF). The UPF welcomes you and will support you throughout your stay on the campus of Outumaoro.
Before applying, verify that an agreement exists between your University and UPF, then contact your institution’s international office, if applicable, to prepare your official application.
As an exchange student, you’ll enjoy special benefits :
- waiver of tuition fees ;
- administrative and academic support from the International Relations Office ;
- housing assistance, particularly at the International Residence ;
- access to a diverse range of courses ;
- enrollment in the UECG “Voltaire Certification” program to study French (optional);
- free intensive FLE (French as a Foreign Language) course ;
- mentoring program (“Buddy Program”) ;
- academic recognition of your exchange, subject to successful completion.

Studying at UPF as an exchange student
Every year, the University of French Polynesia (UPF) welcomes international students through exchange agreements with partner universities.
Exchange students can spend a semester or an academic year studying at UPF while remaining enrolled at their home University.
Exchange students do not pay tuition fees at UPF, but must be selected and nominated by their partner University before they can apply.
