scientific, cultural and professional institution. Since its creation, it has been a dynamic player essential to the development of higher education, training and research in French Polynesia. Since then, in order to improve the learning experience for students and research, the institution has constantly adapted. An additional 2,600 m2 were dedicated to teaching and research in 2009. Since September 2021, the \u2018Archipels connect\u00e9s\u2019 scheme has enabled students from remote archipelagos to receive training. These principles guide the University in its operations, its actions and its entire community. It is through a diversified, multidisciplinary range of courses that the school awards state or university diplomas that are transferable to many European countries through the LMD (Licence &#8211; master &#8211; doctorat) system, but that&#8217;s not all.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, its teaching is divided between the three training departments: DEG (Law, Economics and Management), LLSH (Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences) and STS (Science, Technology and Health). Secondly, the Institut National Sup\u00e9rieur du Professorat et de l&#8217;Education (INSPE) at the University of French Polynesia organises in-service training for primary and secondary school teachers and education staff. There are a total of 13 general bachelor&#8217;s degrees, 3 professional bachelor&#8217;s degrees, 7 master&#8217;s degrees and several continuing education courses.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_lit6768   \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <h3>RESEARCH<\/h3>\n<p>In terms of research, the University of French Polynesia (UPF) currently has the greatest potential for interdisciplinary research in French Polynesia. Its reputation extends beyond national borders, with strong partnerships at the overseas, regional and international levels.<\/p>\n<p>UPF is a centre of excellence in the study and promotion of Polynesian heritage and Oceanic cultures and civilisations.<\/p>\n<p>UPF contributes to the <strong>scientific, technological and cultural development of French Polynesia<\/strong> through its <strong>four laboratories, a joint research unit, a Maison des Sciences de l&#8217;Homme du Pacifique and partner research establishments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, with the Pacific doctoral school, the university trains and supports future researchers in French Polynesia. Secondly, the Institut National Sup\u00e9rieur du Professorat et de l'Education (INSPE) at the University of French Polynesia organises in-service training for primary and secondary school teachers and education staff. There are a total of 13 general bachelor's degrees, 3 professional bachelor's degrees, 7 master's degrees and several continuing education courses.<\/p>\n<h3>RESEARCH<\/h3> <p>In terms of research, the University of French Polynesia (UPF) currently has the greatest potential for interdisciplinary research in French Polynesia. Its reputation extends beyond national borders, with strong partnerships at the overseas, regional and international levels.<\/p> <p>UPF is a centre of excellence in the study and promotion of Polynesian heritage and Oceanic cultures and civilisations.<\/p> <p>UPF contributes to the <strong>scientific, technological and cultural development of French Polynesia<\/strong> through its <strong>four laboratories, a joint research unit, a Maison des Sciences de l'Homme du Pacifique and partner research establishments<\/strong>.<\/p> <p>In addition, with the Pacific doctoral school, the university trains and supports future researchers in French Polynesia.
