From June 14 to 28 2025, sixteen students from the University of Western Australia, accompanied by their professor Sabine KUUSE, Senior Lecturer in French Studies, will take part in a Summer School organized by UPF.
The program includes courses on Polynesian culture (Tuamotu linguistics, traditional music, an introduction to ecological transition sciences in French Polynesia, etc.) as well as cultural activities such as learning ‘ori tahiti (Tahitian dance), an excursion to Teahupo’o wave, and a visit to the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands, etc.
These experiences will allow them to deepen their understanding of Oceania, and in particular, the rich cultural heritage of French Polynesia.
The ocean that surrounds our islands is not a barrier, but a bridge between peoples and cultures.
