Summer School with University of Western Australia
From June 14 to 28, 2025, UPF is hosting students from the University of Western Australia (UWA).
As part of the “Summer School” program, these Australian students are discovering Polynesian culture through academic courses (Linguistics, Musicology, Environmental Studies, etc.) and cultural activities (Introduction to Polynesian Dance, the Tahiti Cross-Island Trail, etc.) at UPF.
We would like to thank the Australian Consulate-General in Papeete for organizing the evening event on June 18, 2025, bringing together Australia Awards alumni, former Australian students, Australian residents in Tahiti, and UWA students participating in the New Colombo Plan. During this gathering, the designated Australian Consul-General in Papeete, Ms. Greta Whyte, emphasized the importance of education and the richness of exchanges and ties between our cultures!
Our UPF students are also taking part in the Summer School! By registering for the Buddy Program, they mentor these international students and support them in their local student life. They are also welcome to join the academic and cultural activities.
