AMI Grant

minstere de lenseignement supérieur et de la recherche

Since 2003, UPF has been offering international mobility grants from the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research. These grants support students who wish to pursue higher education abroad through an exchange program or undertake an international internship. The study program or internship must be part of the student’s academic curriculum.

Eligible students

Priority is given to need-based scholarship holders enrolled at UPF at the time of application and preparing a degree there.

Duration of funded stay

The duration ranges from two to nine consecutive months, corresponding to the actual length of the stay in the host country.

Selection criteria

The following factors are considered when awarding the grant:

  • the annual amount of the student’s state scholarship,

  • the academic value of the stay,

  • the quality of the study program or internship abroad,

  • the expenses related to the planned mobility,

  • the applicant’s academic performance.

Amount and payment conditions

The financial support amounts to 47,732 XPF per month. During the funded stay, this grant is added to the student’s regular need-based scholarship. It may also be combined with an Erasmus+ allowance.

Attendance at the host university and participation in the courses or internship activities outlined in the project must be verified. To this end, the student is required to submit a monthly proof of attendance or internship certificate to their home institution.

Applications

A complete application file, including the study or internship project abroad and the request for international mobility aid, must be submitted to the International Relations Office before the following deadlines:

  • June 30 for departure in the first semester,

  • November 30 for departure in the second semester.
